A few months ago I did an experiment:
I decided to make prints of my pictures. Yes- Physical, real-world large-sized bonafide hang-em-on-your-wall prints.
I sent out an email and got an overwhelming response- the first run of 3 was filled in under 2 minutes (!). To say I was touched and overwhelmed at the response would be an epic understatement.
The first three requested prints were:
- This pic of Joe, ‘Bushwick Clown’, for Rian Johnson:
- This shot of Jacob Bijani and Bianca Caampued:
- And this shot of Jared Geller, Gentleman Producer:
We even had a small party to celebrate when they were ready. And now, each piece is hanging in their respective owners’ home- which blowns my mind so much I can’t even begin to process it.
At any rate, a few people requested prints back then who missed that initial run of three. And since then, some more good folks have requested to purchase prints.
So here’s what I’m going to do:
My camera just died, mere days days before I’m due for my first exhibition at Art Basel (what??!).
I’ve started a 24-Hour Kickstarter Project to fund the new camera. Any contribution over $350 will receive an original Print.
If you want a Print, this is how to get it. Your choice- any pic you like.
Everyone who contributes can take credit (and perhaps some blame?) for every pic and vid I make with the new camera.
This is an experiment. Let’s see what happens.
The Project closes in 24 hours.
